The BenchMasher™ 400 provides fast and effective mixing, ensuring consistent homogenization for various applications. It is perfect for preparing samples where eliminating contamination is critical, such as pathogen and microbial detection in food and water filters, and for breaking down larger solid samples or mixing products like powders and polymers.
Samples up to 400ml are conveniently loaded in sterile blender bags, which are sealed upon closing the door. The mixing paddles rapidly strike the bags, producing thorough mixing and homogenization without directly contacting the sample. The user-friendly programming allows easy adjustment of mixing speed and cycle time on the large, full-color touch screen. Paddle position is adjustable to ensure efficient sample processing. For applications requiring thermal regulation, such as Trichinella testing in meat, the chamber can be heated and maintained at temperatures up to 65°C.
The door is removable for easy access to the chamber and stainless steel mixing paddles, each featuring a convenient, removable rubber cover. The built-in UV light (254nm) can be activated at any time for complete chamber decontamination, ensuring a contamination-free environment.
