Breast Cancer Research so you can Ring That Bell!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and while there are causes that touch everyone's heart, the cause for breast cancer is close to ours. While we want to support the research, we also want to support health and wellness efforts. So we found Unite for Her, an organization that we could support on a regular basis.

The mission of Unite for Her is to enrich the health and well-being of those diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancers – for life – by funding and delivering integrative therapies. Founded by Susan Weldon in 2009, Unite for Her provides integrative therapies and resources to more than 3,000 patients annually at no personal cost.

This month we are spotlighting a few of our lab supplies that are color coded pink for breast cancer research!

The Special Edition D-Tipper MLA Pipette Pink helps support Breast Cancer Research. D-Tipper MLA Pipette uses a single-stroke “to deliver” operation. There is a built-in tip-ejector and a glove guard. These pipettes are available in 30 fixed volumes ranging from 5 μL- 1000 μL.

The Pink Capcluster-96 is a sheet of 96 push caps that can be used to seal an entire rack of 96 tubes at once. After the capcluster is used to seal a rack of push cap tubes, the foil backing can be removed to leave each tube individually capped.

TPE Capmat is compatible with 96-well format tubes. The TPE capmat is a sheet of 96 caps with a fixed foil that can be used to seal a full rack of 96 tubes at once. Unlike tubes capped with a TPE capcluster, tubes capped with a TPE capmat cannot be individually removed from the rack—all 96 tubes are capped together. The TPE cap formats are: the Capcluster-96, the Capmat-96 and the Capband-8 or -12.

Screw Caps for internally threaded tubes securely seal tubes for long-term sample storage at ultra-low temperatures. Internally threaded tubes can be sealed with a standard Screw Cap, a Screw Cap Ultra, or a Low Profile Screw Cap. The Screw Caps for tubes with an internal thread feature a high quality Silicon O-ring around the base to allow for the tightest seal possible.
